all the world's a blog

A blog is everybody's personal stage. I'm reshaping my opinion about the balance between e-communication and the 'real thing'. After looking thru the variety of blogs and purposes, maybe 'e' and 'reality' compliment each other.

I know someone who always blogs. He has a lot of interesting opinions, but isn't interested in being the center of a party and would rather pet the host's dog than idly chit-chat. People would misread his quiet demeanor and personality. Blogging created opportunity for people to get to know him and talks more often to people in the real world because they are just continuing the conversation they had online.

Maybe there are students who will have a lot more to say in this forum. It might encourage them to participate in class. One form of communication helps the other, not instead of the other....
